Neither am I. So you have a "Calibra mechanic"? Good point to start I have only some ideas of what we can make for improvement. Nothing to do with heavy mods from scratch.

Only one thing, which i spoke with our mechanic was the FLYWHEEL.
We think that is not so good idea becouse of "rpm" of engine.
Light flywheel can do the mess, when you will go down with speed.

Keep it simple:

Think of a V6 as a one-and-a-half 1.6 engine (6-cylinder, each same size as in a 1.6 litre 4-cylinder). This means one "1.6 stroke" every 120º against one "2.0 stroke" every 180º on any other Calibra.

This engine can only be inherently much smoother than any other 2.0 4-cylinder Calibra, which eliminates the need of a heavy flywheel.

If you will want to decrease the weight of flywheel you have to do it with care and i think that it"s better the have standart flywheel.

You´re quite right, that´s dangerous... The other choice is buying a specific-designed light flywheel from Courtenay or from Imotec.

Maybe we are wrong, maybe someone from you already have this "tunning" in c25xe engine, so i would like to have some real PRACTICAL information.

I wish I could help you, but nobody that I know has tried this mods on a V6. What I read on the matter from UK people, they said the mod is worth. Only thing I can say is: I thinked very carefully about consequences of replacing the flywheel, and I am very commited to do it. I found good reasons for doing it, but, as far as my knowledge lasts, no fairly true reasons NOT to do it.
