Seeing this film is like being catapulted into an IMAX version of a Peter Stuyvesant commercial, back to the days when men smoked and didn't wear underarm deodorant, cars had engine notes, clutches required leg muscles and women enjoyed being flirted with at the office (...and, yes, they actually did!). Rendezvous is a high-adrenaline, condensed style statement with an ending that could have only come from the maker of 'A Man and A Woman'. Underscoring it all is the sexiest soundtrack of all time (John Barry and Shirley Bassey notwithstanding), 12 cylinders and 4 litres of the Ferrari 365 Boxer driven by Lalouch's friend, racing driver Jacky Ickx. I love this film and the era it represents, particularly as I live in one of the most over-regulated, purse-lipped and 'responsible' societies in the world. For anyone that has ever owned, driven or just loved classic Italian sportscars, (and enjoyed raising a little bit of hell), Rendezvous is a must see. I can just imagine our hydrogen-car driving grandchildren shaking their heads in befuddlement as they tuck into their tofu and spring water. I'll be there to explain to them that if you don't smoke, drink, fornicate and drive sexy cars that they actually mightn't live longer ... but it sure as hell will feel longer.

Este cortometraje (que me era totalmente desconocido hasta hoy, seré bestia) tiene cierta historia.
Lelouch jamás ha revelado quien pilotaba. Se rumorea por ahí que Jacky Ickx o algún otro piloto de F1 de la época. Puede que lo hiciera él mismo.
Los fantásticos rugidos son cortesía de un 275GTB SOHC ... pero tomados de prestado, el coche era en realidad el Mercedes del propio Lelouch. La magia del cine.
Los gendarmes trincaron a Lelouch en cuanto lo estrenó e incautaron el cuerpo del delito, que durante años fue tabú.

Police have caught former Grand Prix winner Heinz-Harald Frentzen speeding - at a mind-blowing 210kph (130mph).
The German, whose motor racing career was recently rescued by DTM carmaker Audi, was clocked by a radar in Italy as he sped near the small town of Vallelunga after a test.
Reportedly, Frentzen told the police he was speeding home to be with his pregnant wife Tanja, and therefore escaped with only a $430 fine.

El de la colleja es un hijo de puta, si se mata él que se joda, pero el chaval de la bicicleta podría haber sido atropellado por el coche que viene de frente si pierde el equilibrio y se cae, ojalá hubiera rebentado la cara y haya quedado desfigurado y paralitico para toda su puta vida... le hace eso a un hijo mio y aun encima lo empalo a el, a sus amigos y a su famila de yankis
